I Took Over My Crush's Cat and Turned Human

Short story, please add to your reading list

It was only after meeting Xu Jingyue that Cheng Ruochu learned she had skin hunger syndrome.

In high school, the boy wore a blue-and-white uniform and had a tall, slender build. His good looks made him the undisputed school heartthrob.

Everyone knew Xu Jingyue was cold, taciturn, and hard to get along with.

What they didn't know was that whenever Cheng Ruochu's condition flared up, she would cling to the aloof heartthrob and rub against him, and that she'd pinned him against the classroom wall and kissed him more than once.

But after graduation, an accident led Cheng Ruochu to cut off all contact with him without explanation.

…

Several years passed in a flash. Cheng Ruochu's skin hunger syndrome grew increasingly severe, until one night she woke up to find herself lying in a man's arms.

She recognized him.

In her dream, Xu Jingyue looked stern and striking, much more mature than before. Unable to bear her symptoms, Cheng Ruochu knew she shouldn't, but couldn't stop herself from kissing him.

After that, she began dreaming about him often.

Only, little by little, those dreams started taking a turn she couldn't put into words.

…

Xu Jingyue had someone he secretly loved, but on the day he planned to confess, she blocked him on every platform.

Seven years later, he happened to find a cat.

Its eyes looked just like hers, and at night it was especially clingy, just like she had been in high school.

Then one night, he woke up burning with heat and discovered that the cat in his arms had turned into her.

What else could that be but a match made in heaven?

An occasionally assertive, gentle, soft-spoken girl with skin hunger syndrome x a seemingly aloof, secretly mischievous, smoldering school heartthrob

There was a reason they lost touch back then, and it will be revealed in the story. At its core, this is an imaginative story, not a conventional modern romance. The cat is simply the means by which they reunite, so if that bothers you, please don't read.

A sweet 1v1 romance. Please add it to your reading list!!!
