Also known as Hogwarts' Harem Chronicles, The Player Is So Beloved Because Their Stats Are Maxed Out, and I Unlocked a Hidden Route in an Otome Game
Blurb:
Well, after an experiment went wrong, I gained the ability to see ghosts. I can see things ordinary wizards can't, which is kind of a problem.
Even worse are the clingy ghosts who follow me around, claiming they're dead...
But they're obviously alive, hey!
Look at the red-haired Gryffindor who bounces around in front of me every day and the handsome Hufflepuff who gives me homemade cookies with a gentle smile. Then look at the two ghosts beside me, tugging pitifully at my school robes (even though they can't actually move them). I fall into deep thought.
As the days pass, I keep picking up more ghosts.
But the absolute worst part is that these ghosts...
Seem to have all fallen in love with me at first sight?!!!
Scene One:
"Taya hasn't collected me among her ghosts. I really wonder what I would be like in another world without Taya..." Lupin casually muses as he looks at the transparent old friend in front of him.
"Poor, down on his luck, and painfully insecure." Sirius, in ghost form, stares resentfully at the bouquet you sent, sitting on Lupin's desk, and says coldly.
"Now, now, how can you talk about Professor Lupin like that?" Fred, in ghost form, affectionately drapes an arm around your shoulders, smiling brightly. "In our world, Professor Lupin has a wife and child, and a happy life~"
Lupin: ...All right, so that's how we're playing this.
The hazel-eyed man turns to you with a wounded look, like a puppy that's done something wrong. "Taya, you know that in this world, I never will..."
"I know you won't." You pat his head.
The brown puppy blissfully narrows his eyes.
The ghost duo: ...Damn it!
Scene Two:
"I met her first." Cedric, in ghost form, says calmly.
The other ghosts: ...You were just lucky!
"I was the first one she came looking for." Fred, in ghost form, says smugly.
The other ghosts: ...It was just a coincidence!
"She likes my face best. Besides, I can turn into a real dog for her to pet." Sirius, in ghost form, folds his arms proudly.
The other ghosts: ...So what if you're handsome and can turn into a dog!
"She interacts with me the most." Barty Crouch Jr., in ghost form, smiles elegantly.
The other ghosts: ...Damn it, McDonald's, get lost!
"Putting everything else aside, at least there isn't another version of me competing for her attention." Regulus, in ghost form, gives a composed, fake smile.
The other ghosts: ...Damn it, we... we lost!
Content warnings:
1. All-pairings story. Taya = you. A many-arrows-pierce-the-heart type of story, with men and women alike. Everyone loves you, enough to fill the Black Lake, and there are far more of them than the ones mentioned in the blurb.
2. The ghosts who appear around you are tentatively Sirius, Regulus, Cedric, Fred, and Barty Crouch Jr.
3. The author loves over-the-top melodrama. Expect romantic rivalry and chaotic love triangles.
4. You are in a parallel world, and the ghosts come from the original canon timeline. The ghosts and their living counterparts in this world get jealous of each other and compete for your affection.
5. The ghosts initially have no physical bodies and can't touch objects. They can only touch you if you give them permission.
6. You are strong, very strong. You can take on Voldemort with nothing but basic attacks, a battle goddess of Ravenclaw.
7. Chaotic good. You only do what you believe is right (maybe adopting Tom Riddle's diary is the right thing to do, too?).
8. Player-style story, with a little save-and-reload gameplay. The player is so smart that of course she's sorted into Ravenclaw (definitely).
9. The ghosts appear a little later, around second year.
10. Mostly second-person narration, with a little first- and third-person narration.
