Jiang Mu transmigrates and discovers that she's become the identically named cannon-fodder supporting female character in an old-school male-oriented cultivation power fantasy she read just two days ago. The character had a crush on the male lead, Gu Xichao, and was willing to frame his childhood sweetheart to win him over. In the end, her cultivation was crippled and she was pierced through the heart by an arrow. Jiang Mu: Are you kidding me? Knowing the plot inside out, she lets out a thunderous cry: "My fate is mine to decide, not heaven's!"
Jiang Mu just wants to lie low and stay safe until the original story reaches its ending.
But no matter how cleverly she dodges every plot point, someone always drags her back into the main storyline.
When she's on the brink of despair, her cold-faced but warm-hearted junior master uncle always shields her.
Yet when she finally manages to escape the original story's grasp, she finds his sword aimed at her heart.
"Jiang Mu, some fates cannot be changed."
