Day and night alternate.
The seasons come and go.
Thus, across the four corners of heaven and earth, heroes rose in the midst of war and lamentation. At that time, the gates to the immortal sects swung open and spiritual energy appeared. The immortals took pity on the people amid the chaos and quelled the disasters in one place after another.
Ordinary people began to pursue the uncertain, elusive path of cultivation. Children blessed with great fortune and talented, resourceful people emerged in endless numbers, each a prodigy of their generation, dazzling all who saw them.
But the winds were rising, and the clouds were gathering.
Where there is good, there is evil. Those with ill intentions sought shortcuts, killing for treasure and taking others' gifts for themselves, even resorting to cannibalism. For a time, the people lived in fear.
The cultivators could not bear to see the mortal world become a hell once more, so they joined forces to face their common enemy.
And so,
sects large and small, along with mysterious organizations, grew wildly, drawing nourishment like spring grass.
Some sects made a great name for themselves, while others chose seclusion, content to shun worldly affairs.
The Fushan Sect was named for its home on Fushan Mountain. It was founded by the first sect leader, Zhe Kai, for no reason other than to find a quiet place far from worldly disputes.
He took only two disciples to pass on his teachings. The sect rules stipulated that no more than three disciples could be accepted. Anyone whose conduct violated the sect's principles would be unable to set foot on its grounds. The sect records preserved only their titles, not their names. Those who had not been expelled would continue to uphold the rules and pass on the sect's principles, and no one could enter Fushan Sect's territory without the current sect leader's permission.
But by the time the thirty-second sect leader took over,
things seemed a little different from before.
He Yunxiao was born in a remote town. His family wasn't rich, but they weren't poor either. His parents loved him, and the neighbors were kind.
He had lived a carefree life, until everything changed overnight. For some reason, powerful cultivators came to the once-ordinary town and fought with spells just outside it, causing the destruction to spread into the town. His mother hid him away. Before she left, she gave him her jade flute and told him to stay hidden. That was the day Yunxiao learned the town was not ordinary at all: his parents and neighbors were all cultivators.
But sadly, when he regained consciousness, there was only a cold-looking person before him. That person took him back to Fushan Sect, where he found a new family.
Life seemed... to have become extraordinary?
A grandmaster who liked to act old and was somewhat irreverent, a taciturn, icy master, and a talkative, bold senior brother full of strange ideas.
He Yunxiao: I should fit in too, right?
Song Sheng: This junior brother is great! We really click! A kindred spirit! I could just die of love for you, my dear junior brother!

Later, by a twist of fate, the two confessed their feelings to each other and worked up the courage to tell their master and grandmaster, only to discover...
Fushan Sect had settled into a happy life.
