He joined forces with the Demon Emperor, who had returned from his tribulation, to quell the rebellion in the Demon Realm, end the localized war between humans and demons in the southeastern territories of the Xuanhuang Continent, and restore peace to all three realms.
After Ye Xuanye successfully converted his cultivation to spirit-demon energy, his power surged, and he broke through the curse that made the Heavenly Dao despise demonic cultivators.
During her trials, Mu Ruoyi earned golden merit from the Heavenly Dao for doing good deeds without seeking recognition.
Ye Xuanye and Mu Ruoyi both broke through to the Mahayana stage and ascended to the Immortal, Demon, and Yao Realm.
And so, Ye Xuanye and Mu Ruoyi ended up together.
