Through the strands, Miss Chen accidentally caught sight of crimson marks on his neck, uncovered by his clothes. Layer upon layer, old marks covered by new ones, all in the same place.

Gu Liangchun shot her a glance, and Miss Chen did not dare look any longer.

Much later, Miss Chen grabbed Bai Luohua and asked him, utterly baffled, "How did you fall for my cousin?" Bai Luohua swept his long hair behind his head and smiled. "Maybe because he's adorably stupid?"

Miss Chen was even more baffled. While drinking, she went to ask Gu Liangchun, "How did your sister-in-law fall for you?" Gu Liangchun squeezed his beer can until the aluminum crackled. His eyes were red. "When has he ever fallen for me...? If I hadn't... dragged him back home, how would he ever have given me a second glance, let alone had my little one...?"
