Xu Dongyi transmigrates into a book, into the body of the wife of Xie Guanlian, the villain who tormented the young male lead to the point of death.
According to the original story, the great villain will soon destroy the male lead's family, imprison the original female lead in an attic, and leave Xu Dongyi, his wife who kicked him while he was down early on, to die far from home.
The first meeting:
The moon is dark and still. Wind billows the gauze curtains as Xu Dongyi feels her way up the stairs. The man, who should be asleep in the bedroom, stands on the stairs with blood on his lips.
She jumps in fright and tumbles straight back down the stairs.
The moment pain surges through her, she looks up and meets his unfathomable eyes.
