A moody, tsundere, overpowered heroine x a cool, gentle, occasionally eccentric hero
A humorous, everyday-life style
Master and disciple, one-on-one, happy ending, sweet and satisfying with a touch of angst, a little ensemble cast
Content warning: The heroine is shameless and utterly unrestrained
Wei Fengming joined a sect as an apprentice, intending to kill her master, Ye Liansheng.
She didn't want friends or to get close to anyone. She just wanted to keep up a well-behaved facade.
Unfortunately, she was no good at acting, so she came across as moody instead.
Things spiraled out of control:
Her master felt sorry for her, her senior brothers and sisters looked after her, and even the rest of the sect gradually changed its opinion of her.
Her desire for revenge began to crumble, so she hurriedly tricked her master into coming down the mountain with her to exterminate demons.
She tried to kill him several times, but he was convinced his apprentice was mentally frail and easily possessed by evil spirits.
And so, this happened:
Heroine: She thrusts her sword!
Master: Catches the blade barehanded, every single time.
After a few attempts, her master helplessly rubbed his forehead and cast a formation at her: "You evil spirit! Get out of my apprentice's body!"
The heroine realized she couldn't win, dropped to her knees, and pretended to cry: "Waaah, Master, the monster escaped, and I'm back..."
Her master patted her head and comforted her: "As long as you're all right. As long as you're all right."
The road to revenge was long, and her master was too powerful, so she decided to keep her head down and build up her strength.
Don't take on work beyond your abilities.
So she decided to forge herself into a unique diamond drill!
But as she worked to forge herself into a diamond drill, she realized her master wasn't the piece of porcelain she was meant to drill through.
Her real enemy was someone else!
So, before her identity was exposed, she faked her death and took out her real enemy along the way.
Later, this unique diamond drill was sitting around idly on the throne of the Demon King when she ran into a familiar face. Blood ran from his eyes, and he was clearly blind.
He said he was going to look for his apprentice.
"Who is your apprentice?"
He listed several names. The last one was hers.
She pressed a finger to her twitching brow and asked, "Is she still your disciple?"
He fell silent, which was as good as an admission.
Diamond Drill: "Where is her body?"
"I lost it, but I'll find it eventually."
And so the Demon King set off once more, accompanying her master as he searched for the remains of someone who did not exist.
He didn't know she had once been his most cherished apprentice.
She knew he was the master she cared about most.
So when he gazed into the darkness of nothingness, she could freely admire his features, as though they were a passionate kiss.
The truth hidden in their past was only just beginning to emerge.
Two caterpillars bound by fate finally broke out of their cocoons.
