The first half is told mainly from the original female lead's perspective; the second half is tentatively told mainly from Nezuko's perspective. There are multiple POV shifts.

New races: yokai, wandering souls, and gods. New faction: families.

Plot-focused. The female lead has no romantic pairing, though multiple characters have one-sided feelings for her. The canon pairing is Snake and Love. Ship whoever you like.

Expect pure romance, an ensemble cast, complex relationships, an expanded world, and intensely devoted couples. The feelings are all quite heavy, so even friendships may seem ambiguous. There are many different kinds of love.
