After the Comic's Cannon Fodder Was Rewritten into a Tragic Beauty

[The first world is complete. The bonus chapters aren't finished yet. I'll write them after the whole story ends, or they'll spoil things. All the mini-worlds are pseudo-BE.]

[Started on January 13, 2026. Officially signed on January 28. Entered VIP on February 21. I drew the cover myself.]

[I'll read every comment carefully. Thanks for all your comments!]

[Please treat every world as a standalone story! I'm writing them very seriously! Well, I can't control how many words it takes to finish the story...]

Comic artists dying from overwork seems to be the norm.

Qi Xun was one of them.

And he got hit again after he died.

A "Flop-to-Fan-Favorite System" bound itself to him and sent him into various comics, into the bodies of background characters who appeared only to be killed off. His job was to turn them into fan favorites.

The money readers and fans spent on him could become points, which he could exchange for all kinds of useful things.

Ways of spending included, but weren't limited to, buying blind boxes in hopes of getting his merch, tipping him, and commissioning dolls or merchandise of him...

As a veteran comic artist who had earned plenty from popular characters he'd created, Qi Xun thought, Making a fan-favorite character? Easy~!

And so

The isolated upperclassman at Whale Island Military Academy in Whale Island, remade into an enemy spy who, even after being brainwashed, still chose to sacrifice himself to protect others;

The blind, mute, and uncanny being in Infinite Tower, remade into an older brother who willingly sacrificed himself to become a rule and protect his "younger brother";

The discarded magic puppet with a shattered magic circuit in Forbidden Magic, remade into a villain who, after being forgotten and abandoned by the amnesiac protagonist, turned from black to white and despised himself...

One by one, the background characters who'd appeared only to be killed off became the readers' most heartbreaking regrets.

When Qi Xun finally got tired and took a vacation, he looked at the protagonists who'd been tricked into becoming his coworkers just so they could find him... and suddenly thought, Maybe I should just die.

[Note] It's tagged as quick transmigration, but it may not actually be quick. Each comic's entire story will be told before that world ends. The protagonist, Qi Xun, is pretty easygoing, but he's no saint and won't save everyone. Some rescues that seem obvious to him may not be wanted by the people he's trying to save.

If this hits a trigger, run. Please don't tell me, and don't insult the characters or their fans. I'll delete those comments. Hearts!

Theme: Even in darkness, always keep protecting the light.
