The Guide's eyes curved as he smiled and showed him the bite mark Shen Zhuqing had left the day before. Shen Zhuqing instinctively closed his eyes. He waited for a reprimand, but instead received a warm embrace.

The Guide held him, leaned down toward his ear, and parted his lips.

"Could you bite me again?"

Though he's tempted to take advantage of the situation and bind them together right away, he can't get past his conscience. Ji Shuchi lets out a long sigh and decides to silently protect him instead.

As for why he has his snow leopard act like a kitten...

The Sentinel is more honest than before now that he's lost his memories, and Ji Shuchi suddenly realizes his partner might like someone who takes the initiative!
