(Changing the premise again. Whoever came up with the aristocratic academy trope, it's so satisfying! Back to the aristocratic academy!)
Chi Yang awakened to the truth: he was a minor cannon-fodder character in an aristocratic academy story.
The minor character was vain and conceited. Officially, he was F3's younger brother, but in reality he was a burden brought along by his stepmother. Still, he flaunted his connection to F3 and looked down on everyone. Eventually, he bullied the original protagonist bottom and got a red card from F3.
As for whether the minor character lived or died in the end, no one cared.
So Chi Yang assumed that as long as he didn't bully the original protagonist bottom, he could reason with F3. He explained to them that his mother wasn't a homewrecker, but on the nth day, he still received a red card.
.
The new transfer student, Chi Yang, was said to be F3's cheap younger brother. He rarely attended class, and people only occasionally saw him beside F3. He always kept his head down, never spoke or got involved in anyone's business, and was so quiet and well-behaved that he seemed to have no presence at all, like a silhouette cut from the same old mold.
Chi Yang thought that keeping his head down and behaving himself would let him get through high school in peace.
But he kept receiving gifts for no apparent reason, catching thoughtful glances at parties, and finding his clothes mysteriously missing. Then F3 searched through his letters without his permission, and Chi Yang couldn't hide his disgust.
F3 then inexplicably started shouting at him.
The next day, Chi Yang received a red card.
Under the red-card rules, any student in the school could bully Chi Yang. After barely escaping his pursuers, he collapsed, limp, deep in a valley. Relieved to be alive, he decided to apply for a transfer.
But Chi Yang's transfer application remained unapproved.
He stayed in the dormitory. When he occasionally went out, he never noticed the increasingly gloomy stares, the strange silence of the crowds he passed, or the occasional sound of a camera shutter.
He thought he was invisible, but he was always a hot topic on the aristocratic academy's top forum, a cool, distant moonlight that everyone longed to catch a glimpse of.
