[Cold-faced, adorable little destroyer god × blind saintly puppeteer]
A love born of bitter hatred, a saint's selfish devotion, and mutual redemption.
A power couple: the more they love, the more they hate; the more they hate, the sweeter it gets.
The first time Hua Wuhui saw Xie Jingci was amid the flames that consumed her family.
He was her enemy.
White silk covered his eyes. Blood dripped from his fingertips, where countless threads shimmered like flowing light. He looked like a demon from hell.
"Found you."
Hearing her breathe, the man turned around. The last thread pierced her heart.
.
Hua Wuhui thought she had died.
When she woke again, threads bound all four of her limbs.
She had become his puppet, and his plaything.
He controlled every move she made: dressing, walking, even breathing.
She tried to escape, only to find that a thread always connected them. He would not let her go.
So she decided to kill him.
She had to kill him.
"All right."
Beneath the white silk, his lips curled into a pleased smile.
He began teaching her spells, indulging her repeated attempts to assassinate him.
After each failure, as punishment, he made her relive the moments when her entire family died, over and over.
"Hatred is what keeps you alive," the man said gently, manipulating his threads.
.
Hua Wuhui hated him with all her heart.
She would kill him.
.
Xie Jingci was the strongest puppeteer on the Cangzhou Continent, pure and crystalline as ice. Blind, yet clear-sighted at heart, he spent his whole life searching for the seed of chaos, the reincarnation of the Evil God.
Then one day, he received a plea for help from the Hua family of Jiangzhou: the seed of chaos had awakened inside their youngest daughter.
He arrived just before the Evil God could fully awaken, finding her unconscious amid the flames.
To suppress that world-destroying power, he had no choice but to use the puppeteer's final thread on her: Twin Hearts.
With Twin Hearts, from then on, he would feel her hatred a thousandfold and share her pain ten thousandfold.
But he would forever be deaf to her love and joy.
@Bonus scene:
Another assassination attempt had failed. Threads shimmering like flowing light wound around her neck.
Sighing, he traced the tears brought on by her choking with his fingertips.
"Ahui, call me Master."
Eyes red, she dodged him and bit through the back of his hand.
Blood streamed down.
"...You don't like that?"
He tilted his head, intently experiencing her choking and hatred.
His bloodied hand pressed farther between her teeth, indulgently prying her jaws apart.
"Then call me Father."
1. One-on-one romance, a love born of bitter hatred, a saint's selfish devotion. The leads are instinctively drawn to each other. Happy ending.
2. The only way to stop the Evil God from awakening is to keep her from realizing that she is the Evil God.
3. The male lead is blind, powerful, and gentle, until he has no choice but to make her hate him.
4. He is her enemy, her master, and her secret lover.
He cannot see her or feel her love. He should push her away, but cannot help drawing close to her, testing the limits of forced love.
[Content warnings]
5. The female lead is no innocent flower and is not a good person. She is willful and difficult.
6. There may be some unintentional male-lead torment and melodrama. The author means well, but this is simply their thing, so read with care.
@Flowers bloom without end, the moon shines without end. Twin Hearts. From "Song of Sincere Feelings"
