Lee Yeon-hee, a self-proclaimed "artist", has created a flowing "work center" in the gaps of the city. There are no certificates on the wall, no gallery spotlights, just an array of yogurt pots, red thread wrapping, chairs with missing legs, a boilermaker's sketchbook, colored cellophane on the windowsill, and an old man who is always making tea.
The story begins in an abandoned warehouse, moves through a tube building, a semi-underground garage, and an art museum staff dormitory, and finally arrives at an exhibition called "The Other Side of Work: Rejection and Continuance." But this is not a narrative about success - it is an honest record about "marginal creation": those boiler workers who were rejected by the art world, the father who drew his daughter's profile in the blank space of the drawing, the cleaner who used medical waste to make miniature buildings, the children who pasted a piece of color on the glass every day, the security guard who looked for poetry in the surveillance footage during the night shift...
