Why Is the Tyrant a Crybaby Puppy?

After Xuan Rong dies, her soul unexpectedly transmigrates into a book called The Great Yu Dynasty, where she ends up in the body of Zhao Chengyun, the future ruler who will bring the country to ruin, currently a crown prince. She thinks she's taken over someone else's body and can enjoy playing emperor in this feudal dynasty. Maybe she can even use her modern way of thinking to save a collapsing empire. But being a crown prince isn't easy, and, more surprisingly, the crown prince isn't dead!

Forced to share a body with Zhao Chengyun, she takes over whenever there's fun to be had, then shrinks into the depths of their body and plays dumb whenever trouble strikes. She drives the short-tempered young crown prince up the wall, and has a grand time doing it.

But she's not an unkind person. The abilities she gained upon arriving in this world let her summon clouds and rain during a severe drought, helping the unlucky crown prince earn a reputation for virtue and ascend the throne.

By chance, she completes her good deeds, restores her body, and returns to the world after three years of silence. Everything has changed, so she simply forgets the past and even takes herself for a goddess who saves the suffering. In a daze, she finds her way back to Zhao Chengyun.

She sees him waiting day and night at the Ascension Platform, or touching a portrait as he sobs, or staging ridiculous rain-prayer ceremonies like a walking corpse. All he wants is for the goddess to suddenly appear, just as she did when she descended years ago, and save him from his plight.

Unfortunately, the "goddess" of today has long since lost those memories and can only feel sorry for him.

So he decides to play the poor thing to the hilt, throwing a little tantrum every three days and having a big cry every five, constantly offering himself to her. And somehow, his dream really does come true.

Unfortunately, Xuan Rong still has one more hurdle to clear: "ascension"...
