A character study based on [Three Kingdoms: The Master Salesman of Xudu], a plot supplement in draft-style dialogue form, for entertainment, not entering the rankings.
The three little maids in the Chancellor's residence hold a gossip gathering, chattering about all the latest things they've heard. Whether it's news from across the land or street-corner gossip, whenever the three little birds get together, they pick it apart from head to toe.
Each has her own favorite:
Cang Geng, a maid who serves water in the front hall, is their source for “major news” and has the sharpest political radar. She admires great heroes like Cao Cao.
Chen Feng, a maid allowed to go out to shop and run errands, brings in the street gossip and is a firm Xun Yu supporter.
Yan Yan only does needlework in the inner courtyard. Her circle is the smallest, and she's intensely curious about the new military advisor, Guo.
Though they spend their time on the sidelines of the story, chirping away and speculating, they gradually find themselves drawn into it. They go from loving men to shipping couples, and finally become firm supporters of women. Powerless to change anything, they are swept along by the tide of the times, inching toward their own futures.
Theme: Ordinary women from the streets have their own opinions too
