Fang Yu has been feeling a little anxious lately.
Her girlfriend, Shi Rou, has been acting strangely. She often comes by early in the morning and makes her a loving breakfast, but never stays the night.
Stranger still, Fang Yu sometimes notices faint red marks on the back of Shi Rou's neck. They don't look like injuries, but rather like traces of passion.
Fang Yu is baffled. She and Shi Rou have been childhood sweethearts and dating for years. Fang Yu is the youngest chairwoman in the history of the Fangyuan Group, beautiful, wealthy, emotionally steady, and devoted. What could her girlfriend possibly be dissatisfied with? How dare she cheat?

Zhu Lan had never cared to ask many questions about her sham marriage partner, Lin Shirou.
Recently, however, she'd been hearing rumors about Shirou and Fang Yu, the chairwoman of the Fangyuan Group. Those tabloid reporters loved to make something out of nothing, so Zhu Lan hadn't thought much of it.
Until her assistant put photos in front of her. Remembering that her wife had recently been leaving home at five in the morning and not returning until nine at night, Zhu Lan went to confront Lin Shirou, her face dark.
Her usually gentle and obedient sham wife recoiled from her touch. "Zhu Lan, this is just a marriage of convenience. You can't touch me."
A strange urge to win stirred in Zhu Lan's heart. "We've got a marriage certificate. I'm your lawful wife."

Lin Shirou has landed herself in serious trouble.
Her ex-girlfriend, Fang Yu, was injured in a car accident, and her memories are stuck three years in the past, when the two of them were madly in love. The doctor says someone familiar needs to stay with her and take care of her. Fang Yu has always been solitary and suspicious, with no one by her side. Thinking of their past, Shirou can't bring herself to refuse.
But she already has a sham marriage partner, and the two of them have to live under the same roof to keep up appearances.
After thinking it over, Lin Shirou decides on a five-in-the-morning-to-nine-at-night schedule.
