After Picking Up a Noble Alpha

In the new era, the people living on the planet Elysia are divided into different social classes. Ye He, who lives in the lowest class, the surface district, is an Omega hiding his identity. Everyone knows he works relentlessly to get to New Athens, the city where the highest-ranking Purebloods live.

Ye He's daily routine consists of just two things:

1. Working three jobs: at a spaceship graveyard, at the Yalan Bar, and repairing equipment.

2. Saving money in three ways: eating the cheapest mushroom cakes and nutrient paste, and refusing to spend a single cent on entertainment.

Ye He thought it would take him many years to save enough money to return to the place that had driven him away in the first place.

That is, until he accidentally picked up an amnesiac Alpha.

The very first moment Audis woke up, he fell in love with the person who had saved him.

He had a snow-white face, soulful eyes, thick black hair falling to his shoulders, and striking, vivid features. He would bend down to touch Audis's forehead, then give him a passionate kiss...

All right, that was just a dream. Audis even suspected his dream lover was the one who had kicked him awake.

His dream lover was named Ye He. Outside, he was a timid little loner who couldn't make friends and barely spoke. At home, he was a domineering cat king who bared his claws at Audis, though when he got hurt, he would sometimes hide away and whimper as he licked his wounds.

Ye He couldn't cook. Even after bringing the injured Audis home, all he would feed him was the cheapest nutrient paste. He was also short-tempered, and would casually step on Audis with his snow-white feet.

But Audis was hopelessly in love with Ye He.

Until one day, his memories suddenly returned...

Ye He finally made it back to New Athens, where he resumed his studies at New Athens United Academy. Better yet, he was enrolled in the command program he had always dreamed of, instead of the repair major that had limited him to working in logistics.

He still had to hide that he was an Omega, and constantly taking suppressants was no pleasant experience. Sometimes, he thought of the person who could help ease his discomfort in bed, but that person was gone now.

During a field exercise, Ye He accidentally stumbled into a trap and lost his sight. The people on a small planet found him and took him home.

Ye He was very grateful, but the silent person had a doglike scent that seemed strangely familiar.

"Who are you? Do I know you?"

Being held in someone's arms and fed, Ye He murmured in a daze.

Long, slender fingers supported the back of his head as the person examined the place where he had fallen.

After a long silence, Ye He felt warmth on his lips. Someone gripped the back of his neck, forcing his lips apart and making him take in the other's hot breath.

His gland warmed as the Alpha's pheromones spread through the air, and a familiar voice sounded in his ear:

"If I save you once, does that mean I get to decide when things between us end this time?"

Ye He and Audis had been married for years, and the planet Elysia no longer had social classes.

On Christmas Eve, they went out together wearing matching couple's scarves. The winter night was freezing, and Ye He ruefully breathed into his palms. Beads of moisture clung to his thick eyelashes.

Audis took a pair of gloves from his coat pocket, held Ye He's icy hands, and put the gloves on him.

But Ye He gave Audis a playful smile, took off the glove on his left hand, and held Audis's warm hand.

"..."

Ye He tilted his head back to gaze at Audis and murmured something so softly that he could barely hear it.

Audis looked at Ye He, smiling. Time seemed to have done no more than cast an even gentler glow over the person before him. He was still as dazzling as he had been when they first met, his bright black-and-white eyes sparkling like crystal in a dish of mercury.

"What are you saying? I can't hear you..."

Audis gazed at his beloved, utterly captivated, and leaned closer. Ye He took the opportunity to rise on his toes and plant a warm kiss on Audis's lips.

His warm breath brushed Audis's ear as he laughed and said, "I said, thanks for the gloves. But even when my hands are cold, I still want to hold yours, because I love you. Mwah~"

Fireworks burst across the Christmas Eve sky.

On the dark night, a forest of light grew wildly overhead, then withered into glowing ashes that came tumbling down. The dazzling sight was breathtaking, reflected in Ye He's pure eyes.

Audis sighed and opened his arms, holding Ye He tightly, so tightly, as he threw himself into them.

"I love you too."

"I will love you forever, every moment, every second, until the end of Elysia."
