[Cool, aloof older woman who likes to tease x younger, carnivorous setter]
[University campus setting / light sports elements]
The first twenty-five years of Zhou Dai's life hadn't been particularly exciting. She studied, got a job, and followed the expected path...
Until one day, the so-called "last straw" everyone talked about finally pushed her to quit.
When summer arrived, she stopped listening to her family's advice and casually signed up for an adult summer camp at Jinghang University, a thousand miles from home.
The attendees had come from all over, from different generations and walks of life, each carrying a story that didn't quite fit into city life.
By chance, Zhou Dai, an English major, was invited by a teacher to translate for the university volleyball team as they prepared for an upcoming league.
The visiting coach had sun-kissed skin, light brown eyes, a toned, muscular build, and a mixed-race face that was impossible to look away from.
After one match, he confessed his love to her in his awkward Chinese: "Zhou, I fell in love with you at first sight. I can't help myself."
Separated from him by only a wall, Zhou Dai was watched by a pair of young, beautiful eyes. She saw the team's usually arrogant, unruly setter slowly lean toward her and deliberately plant a kiss on the neck he loved to torment.
As their breaths mingled, a laugh as elusive as the wind slipped out.
"Big sis, I feel the same..."
"I fell in love with you at first sight. I can't help myself."
Reader's Guide:
* The male lead doesn't usually call her "big sis"; it only appears once in the blurb.
* One-on-one romance, happy ending, younger man. The male lead is a volleyball player, so there will be a noticeable difference in their builds.
* A hint of ensemble cast and sports, with the spotlight on the heroine, but she isn't a girl everyone falls for.
* I want to tell a story unlike a conventional urban romance. No one's life can be defined as a "failure" or a "success." The idea is, "You don't have to keep moving forward. You can just wander around, too."
* Sweet romance! A story overflowing with the feeling of youthful summer! Come fall into summer with me!
