The siblings, both iron-eating beasts, had only just transformed into human form when our army happened upon them and recruited them.
With their immense strength, the siblings were practically lethal weapons on the battlefield.
But before they could see the victory of the War of Resistance with their own eyes, the younger sister, a panda, was inexplicably struck by heavenly lightning and badly injured.
The siblings had no choice but to retreat deep into the Qinling Mountains to recuperate.
Time flew by.
One day, the panda suddenly realized that her older brother, a panda on the neighboring mountain, had disappeared. Now and then, a faint golden light would appear, repairing her demon core.
To find her brother and discover where that light came from,
the panda packed her rations and set off down the mountain with her bundles.
In less than three days, she had been taken to the police station three times.
She even got herself a pair of silver bracelets. :(
“I already told you, they were wearing those turtle-shell uniforms, and they were harassing that young girl. I thought they were Japanese soldiers, so my feet just kicked them before I could stop them. Believe me, it really wasn't my fault.”
At the police station, the panda squatted on a chair and turned to yell at the sniveling punk beside her, “Shut your trap!”
Fu Yuzhu sat beside her, finding the scene incredibly familiar.
On his very first day in the capital, his phone and wallet were stolen.
With no money at all, he could only sleep in an underground passage.
Then he ran into a little kid in Republican-era clothes, filthy from head to toe.
The little girl looked weak, helpless, and pitiful, but she was incredibly outgoing.
She kept asking him either for cardboard to sit on or where he had come from.
Fu Yuzhu drew in his legs and hugged himself.
This kid's outgoing nature was scary.
A little scene:
“Fu Yuzhu, do we really have to lie here like this without moving?”
The panda was dressed in the tattered military uniform provided by the film crew, lying in a pool of blood.
“Yeah. Don't talk. Have you ever seen a corpse talk?” Fu Yuzhu, dressed in the same turtle-shell uniform and lying beside her, barely moved his lips. “Even as an extra, you have to maintain professional standards.”
“Fu Yuzhu, I'm hungry. I want an apple. And seeing you in that outfit makes me want to beat you up.” The panda cracked open one eye and whispered.
Reader's guide:
1. The female lead is a spirit creature named Panda. She's a little bear from a textbook, and if she doesn't like something, she fights it. She's a social menace.
2. An entertainment-industry story focused on acting, with performances within the story. The female lead has a background in action scenes.
3. Both leads start out as extras to make money. She's an actress, he's a director, and both reach the top.
4. A fictional world with no real-life models. Don't identify the characters with real people.
5. To be continued.
