A rugged, wife-devoted street vendor x a gentle, elegant university professor
Jiang Mingchuan is a famous handsome professor at A University, the College of Arts' poster boy. Whenever there's a promotional project, he's the one they put front and center.
After work, he went to buy a flatbread. Only after waiting in a long line did he remember that students often talked about this viral stall.
He hesitated a little. Was this viral stall all hype? He didn't want to work all day only to end up with a flatbread he couldn't swallow.
As it turned out, he never got to find out whether the flatbread was any good. The owner took his money, hopped on his tricycle, and rode off.
Jiang Mingchuan saw his eight yuan vanish before his eyes.
The next day, after class, he finally spotted the vendor standing outside the door with a flatbread in his arms. Grinning broadly, he said, “Professor Jiang, I finally found you.”

Chen Gou sells flatbread in the university district. He's good-looking and in great shape, so students passing by posted him online. He even got a little popular as an internet influencer.
The city enforcement officers had chased him off the day before, and he'd left someone without their flatbread. He was so anxious that he spent all night asking around in his customer group before finding out who Jiang Mingchuan was.
A child prodigy, a university professor. As Chen Gou stood outside watching him teach, he was so envious he could have drooled.
A cultured man, so impressive!
As soon as he handed over the flatbread, Chen Gou awkwardly pulled out his phone. “Professor Jiang, would you add me on WeChat? Next time you want a flatbread, I'll make one for you ahead of time.”
Jiang Mingchuan was a little surprised, but he added him anyway.
Chen Gou went home and pinned his chat to the top.
Goodness, a university professor!
Looking at their chat, Chen Gou thought, If the village got a college student, they'd put up banners. Professor Jiang would get a whole banquet in his honor!
As he stared at the chat, his hand slipped and he accidentally sent Jiang Mingchuan a poke.
Professor Jiang: Is something the matter, Boss Chen?
A Flatbread Chen Gou: No, no, I just slipped and tapped it.
Professor Jiang: Then please set aside a flatbread for me, Boss Chen. I'll pick it up after class at five thirty. Thanks.
Chen Gou got right up as soon as he saw the message. He had to make Professor Jiang's flatbread piping hot and delicious.
Their relationship grew stronger with each flatbread.
Professor Jiang: Are you thinking of taking the college entrance exam, Boss Chen?
A Flatbread Chen Gou: I've been thinking about it.
Professor Jiang: I'll bring you some books this afternoon.
Chen Gou thought “some books” meant just a few books, but when Jiang Mingchuan arrived that afternoon, he saw that every page was covered in notes.
Jiang Mingchuan smiled gently. “These are the books I used in high school. Take them and study, if you don't mind.”
Chen Gou thought, Professor Jiang is such a good person.

Jiang Mingchuan really was a good person. And, most importantly, he was handsome.
Chen Gou practically drooled whenever he looked at him.
But he knew his place. The way he was now, he wasn't good enough for someone as wonderful as Jiang Mingchuan.
It wasn't until he'd worked his way up from a roadside vendor to a successful entrepreneur that he finally got up the courage, after a bottle of liquor, to go find Jiang Mingchuan.
“Professor Jiang, I really like you. Could you give me a chance?” When Jiang Mingchuan didn't answer, Chen Gou nearly shoved everything he had on him into the man's hands. “The deed to my house, my car registration, my bank card. Professor Jiang, I promise I'll take good care of you...”
Jiang Mingchuan took off his glasses, his gaze unconsciously sweeping over Chen Gou's bulging muscles.
“Boss Chen,” he said, a little off topic, “are you strong?”
