Reborn as a Deadbeat Alpha in the Apocalypse

When Qi Zhili wakes up in the body of a scumbag Alpha from an apocalyptic novel, one who traded his girlfriend for a steamed bun, he has just ten hours before she awakens her powers and kills him.

Qi Zhili risks his life to save Ji Ruoyu, but then "watches helplessly" as Ji Ruoyu fails to awaken her powers.

The future leader of the base, who slaughtered her way through the original novel, has now become delicate, hard to appease, picky, and willful.

Qi Zhili accepts it. He plans to protect Ji Ruoyu until she regains her powers.

Ji Ruoyu is reborn and discovers that the scumbag from her previous life has changed. He risked everything to save her, cared for her attentively, and even felt pain on her behalf when he saw her injuries.

Ji Ruoyu decides to pretend that her powers failed to awaken and test the scumbag. She makes things difficult for him, bullies him, acts unreasonable, and throws tantrums at every turn.

Qi Zhili handles it even better than she imagined.

At a critical moment, Ji Ruoyu decides to drop the act and uses her powers to save Qi Zhili.

She thinks Qi Zhili will be so moved that he'll propose on the spot. Instead, he asks to break up and says, "The apocalypse is a big place. I want to go see it."
