When Qi Dongling moved into his new home, he brought along a pile of junk and a little kitten.
He was thoroughly prepared. He hadn't picked up a pen to write in years, not since graduating, but now he'd even started writing a "Cat Care Manual."
Then one day, while he was bathing the kitten, something completely unexpected happened. How had the kitten turned into a person?!
On his first night as a human, the kitten gazed at Qi Dongling with shining eyes.
Qi Dongling raised an eyebrow. "What's wrong?"
The kitten hesitated.
"Speak up." Seeing him like this made Qi Dongling's heart itch, and he rubbed the kitten's head.
The kitten asked, "Why didn't you say good night to me?"
Qi Dongling wondered why he'd ask that.
The kitten snuggled against his lap. "I want to hear you say good night to me, too."
