One night, this unconventional domineering protagonist was questioned in a dream by someone claiming to be from the Domineering Protagonist Administration. "What the heck do you think you're doing?"

After a moment of silence, the voice asked, "Have you awakened to your own consciousness?"

Nothing that happened to a domineering protagonist could surprise him. Cen Zhuyu took it in stride and declared proudly, "So what?"

The Administration had had enough. Without hesitation, it sent him into The King's Avatar, a world centered on a male lead. As he left, it said something Cen Zhuyu would remember for a long time:

"Who do you think you're fooling? Stay here and see what a real male lead looks like."

Just another vulgar male lead from an ordinary book, Cen Zhuyu thought.

That was until he realized he'd spent his whole life acting like a lovesick puppy, eagerly chasing after Ye Xiu.

The year he entered the pro league, Ye Xiu retired and vanished, leaving him lost and adrift in an unfamiliar world, with no idea where to go.

When he'd grown disheartened, convinced he had no worthy opponents left, he resolved to replace Ye Xiu at Excellent Era once and for all. But Ye Xiu formed a team in a whirlwind and stormed back into the league, personally getting Excellent Era kicked out of the pro scene.

His long-held wish remained unfulfilled. In his grief and anger, he joined Team Happy, ready to face the male lead head-on, only for Ye Xiu to mock him so mercilessly that he wanted to go downstairs that very night, without using either the elevator or the stairs.

How could a domineering protagonist accept being walked like a dog? Furious, Cen Zhuyu decided to use his golden finger, Word Spirit, to teach Ye Xiu a little lesson.

But figuring out how to use Word Spirit became the biggest problem. Cen Zhuyu disdained using it to steal a victory and take away Ye Xiu's achievements, so in desperation, he began searching for the darkest, most vicious way to get under someone's skin.

That night, a post titled "If you hate him, just top him" appeared before Cen Zhuyu as if from nowhere. The door to a whole new world swung open.

Under the control of Word Spirit, the "top him" techniques Cen Zhuyu had learned on a mysterious All-Ye forum worked like a charm.

Just you wait. I'll do all sorts of things to you! Cen Zhuyu thought smugly.

It wasn't until Team Happy was buried under bouquets sent by players from across the pro scene that Cen Zhuyu realized something was very wrong.

Because he'd belatedly realized that he might have fallen for Ye Xiu, too.

Not because of the top-him techniques.

All the tops are a little unhinged, but they're all virgins. Historical ABO setting, A-to-O transformation, physical and emotional torment, melodrama galore. The bottom suffers terribly, and the cannon-fodder tops suffer too.
