[Younger lover top x older benefactor bottom]
[After the younger one runs away, the older one chases after her, then gets turned around and teased by the younger one]
Jiang Liushen is a little-known actress who has had a crush on Song Ling for a long time.
Song Ling is the perfect heir to the Song family: born to privilege, cool and cultured, decisive and efficient. Soon after taking the reins, she had all the group's veteran executives falling into line.
To Jiang Liushen's surprise, this very Song Ling reached out to help when Jiang's family fell on hard times. The price was that Jiang become her lover.
Their relationship began with a contract. Jiang Liushen kept her feelings hidden and played the obedient, understanding lover who was always available whenever Song Ling called.
But when Jiang knelt stiffly behind Song Ling, Song Ling reached out of her own accord, gently guiding her hand to caress her chest.
The dim light concealed Jiang Liushen's flushed face. The woman before her lounged at ease, curling into her arms like a cat. "Do you want me to keep teaching you?"
Over those three years, they kissed in secluded corners of film sets and drove out of the city at night to gaze at the stars.
But in public, nobody knew they even knew each other. Jiang was still the lover who had to stay hidden.
If only it had been just a relationship on paper...
But Song Ling had given her a ring, then slipped it onto her ring finger with her own hands.
The delusion in Jiang Liushen's heart grew, until the day of their anniversary.
Though swamped with work and burning with fever, she made a special trip back to celebrate with Song Ling. But through the villa's floor-to-ceiling window, she saw Song Ling drape a coat over a strange woman's shoulders, their gestures intimate and their eyes full of tenderness.
Just as Jiang was about to go in, a servant appeared at the door and stopped her. "Miss Jiang, President Song's fiancee is here. Please stay away."
In the pouring rain, soaked to the skin, Jiang Liushen laughed and trembled uncontrollably. She flung away the ring and turned to leave.
As the Song family's heir, Song Ling knew exactly where her power and status came from.
Under her mother's cold gaze, she hesitated, but still chose power.
Yet she was also the one who searched desperately through the rain to find that ring.
Later, Jiang Liushen made a comeback with a film.
Who could have guessed that the unknown actress everyone mocked would become a dark horse and win Best Actress?
In a deserted spot behind the awards stage, Song Ling stopped Jiang Liushen and clung to her neck, tears streaming as she begged her word by word.
Jiang Liushen sneered and pushed her away. "President Song, please don't give my fiancee the wrong idea."
P.S. It's all a misunderstanding, and no third party is harmed.
