The six-eyed demon was defeated and died. He thought that when he opened his eyes again, he would see the raging fires of hell, but instead he found himself in the mortal world, hundreds of years later.
Had he finally overcome his weakness to decapitation after all these centuries?
When he realized that he had opened his eyes again and was no longer afraid of sunlight, the demon thought he had reached the supreme realm the Demon King sought: becoming a perfect creature.
When he discovered that no one could see him and he couldn't touch anyone, he guessed this might be another kind of punishment in hell.
Fortunately, he still had a sword nearby, so he could continue honing his swordsmanship.
He spent an unknown length of time living like this. One day, as usual, he was having a cup of tea and a sword, pondering a single sword technique for the whole day, when a strange little kid with bangs appeared from nowhere and said to him:
"Why are you drinking tea in a museum? Sneaking in is so hard!"
...Well, well.
Someone could actually see him?
A human child who could see Kokushibo had suddenly appeared in the world, and Kokushibo found him a bit troublesome because the kid was quite noisy, especially when he was with his new classmate.
Luckily, Kokushibo wasn't entirely without a way to deal with it.
He closed his eyes. When he opened them again, a four-armed giant was seated high atop a mountain of corpses before him. Seeing him appear, the giant raised a hand and unleashed an invisible slash.
After a satisfying, intense battle, Kokushibo opened his eyes, content. The two people who had been bickering moments before had started fighting, turning what had been called a school building into a pile of rubble.
The two fought farther and farther away. Only a few words still drifted back.
Were they arguing about the Six Eyes?
What's there to argue about? The Six Eyes don't improve your vision. They're just a mimicry meant to intimidate others... He'd already explained that, so why did they look so strange?
A chimera, a life born when twin brothers fused together in the womb, which was why it had four arms...
The six-eyed demon looked at the four-armed, four-eyed King of Curses in front of him and decided he needed to explain. "My eyes... are my own."
"Who cares about that? Are you going to fight or not?" The four-armed giant sat atop the bones and sneered. "You lose focus in the middle of a fight, thinking about someone else instead of the opponent right in front of you. Is that how you lost your life?"
Only the Upper Rank One from the Demon Slayer cast appears in this story. Everyone else will only appear in his memories.
