Innocent, kind nine-tailed fox spirit x upright, purehearted demon-slaying Daoist
Nine hundred years ago, a Qingqiu fox spirit was imprisoned in an underground palace, bled to make an elixir of immortality, and reviled by the people for bringing calamity to the country. In the end, a Daoist killed her.
After reincarnating, she became an ordinary mortal, though not entirely ordinary, since years of martial arts training had made her highly skilled.
Her mother was gravely ill, beyond the help of any medicine.
To save her, she ventured alone into Taoyuan, a crossing into the demon realm.
Upon entering Taoyuan, she met a white-haired young man.
Though they were strangers who had met by chance, the young man defied the elders' objections and insisted on accompanying her into the demon realm, sheltering her from every storm and caring for her in every way.
No one knew that he had already shared nine hundred years of reincarnations with her.

In their previous life, Fu Cang was a favored disciple of Guanghan Palace. He had always kept his sect's teachings in mind. When he was seventeen, he descended the mountain and met a fox spirit who had come to the mortal realm to cultivate immortality.
They said demons were good at beguiling people and committed all kinds of evil, but she healed a blind young man, helped an elderly person with no family, and rescued children from human traffickers.
She did countless good deeds, never asking for anything in return.
She was always smiling, her bright eyes clearer than the blue sky, forever innocent and pure.
Fu Cang soon realized that he had fallen for her. But humans and demons followed different paths, and he was a demon-slaying Daoist, to boot.
There could be no future for them, and there shouldn't be one.
If so, he should cut his losses before it was too late. Fu Cang returned to Guanghan Palace and went into seclusion.

Fu Cang never expected that ten years later, she would die in his arms.
His hair turned white in an instant. He returned to Guanghan Palace and asked to be expelled from the sect, then traveled across the land and sought answers from gods and ghosts, all to find a way to bring her back to life.
Everyone told him that a demon whose core had shattered and whose body had been reduced to ashes could never be resurrected.
Just as he was losing hope, he heard news of her reincarnation.
Without hesitation, Fu Cang went to the underworld, hoping to enter the cycle of reincarnation.
But the underworld had a rule: anyone whose lifespan had not yet run its course had to pay a price to enter the cycle.
Fu Cang didn't care. He was willing to pay any price.
He drank Granny Meng's soup and forgot his past, never expecting that upon entering Qingqiu, he would remember every life he had lived over the past nine hundred years.
