[Mutual firsts | 1v1 | Devoted to each other]
A chatty sword spirit who keeps disconnecting vs. a thoughtful, honest junior disciple
The junior disciple is hopeless at his training and comes in last at every sect competition.
His family arranges a marriage for him. After he runs away from it 99 times,
the sword spirit can’t stand watching anymore and appears to teach him how to use a sword.
First, he learns to use the hilt, then the blade~
The junior disciple works hard, but he’s still a complete idiot.
Left with no choice, the sword spirit helps him cheat his way out of one marriage.
The junior disciple is profoundly grateful and swears he’ll never use her to chop firewood again.
*
The sect’s founding ancestor opens her eyes and finds herself a thousand years in the future, dwelling inside a broken sword.
On a whim, she decides to see how her descendants are doing.
Then some little fool clutches the sword he’s only just managed to find again,
falls flat on his face, gets his little cheeks dirty, and tears his new clothes.
The sect’s founding ancestor: “…”
The little fool: “Sword, come!”
(He grunts and chops today’s firewood.)
Note:
1. The characters have normal anatomy, and the worldbuilding is slightly different from the previous novel.
2. The male lead really is a fool, useless at everything.
3. The female lead becomes the male lead’s golden finger later on, and she’s the strongest.
