The Little Girl Who Gathered Mushrooms Has Grown Up

In a small village on the Yunnan-Guizhou Plateau, little Wan Ning lives with her grandparents.

They take her mushroom picking and herding sheep, and teach her how to make flower pastries and traditional intangible cultural heritage flower crafts. Her days are full of the warmth of everyday life.

When it's time to start elementary school, Wan Ning travels a long way to attend school in town. Although she gets excellent grades and all her teachers like her, she still has her own worries.

She wants to have new stationery, cute mystery boxes, and a smartwatch, just like the wealthy children in her class.
