Xi x Jiang Huai
A story about a wisp of water mist that has lived for a very long time and a little kid who always wants to get to the bottom of things.
Jiang Huai has a faint scar on his wrist.
When he was little, he was always asking questions. The answer was always:
"You were such a handful as a kid. You were barely big enough to walk, but you ran off to the riverbank. Heaven took pity on you and didn't take your life, but let you fall by the river instead. You bled and were left with a scar, so you'd learn your lesson."
Jiang Huai knew that couldn't be right, but he couldn't remember how he got the scar, either. All he could do was swallow his sense of injustice.
As he grew up, he grew out of his habit of asking questions and stopped worrying about the scar.
That is, until he came back from a trip to Xin City.
He kept feeling a chill around him, as if something had latched on.
The scar on his wrist also began to grow faintly warm...
