Jiang Chi had a secret.
A well-known screenwriter, she happened to take an apprentice online. As they spent day after day together, she gradually developed feelings for him that went beyond those of a teacher.
When she confessed to him, he rejected her outright, saying, "We're just teacher and student." He wouldn't even tell her his real name. Heartbroken, Jiang Chi eventually blocked him.
Later, she wrote her apprentice into a script. The male lead was callous and unfeeling, while the female lead fearlessly entered the entertainment industry for love.
When Zhou Shixu read the script, his hands trembled. He knew the coldhearted male lead was him. But he could no longer concern himself with his identity.
After years apart, they meet again in a pitch-black hotel room.

He dragged her off to register their marriage. Everything fell into place, yet Jiang Chi felt as if she were dreaming.
Everything in her book had come true.
Zhou Shixu had a dream.
Though everyone recognized him as a top-tier star, he wanted to shed the label of a traffic star. He wanted to write a script he could be proud of, then direct and star in it himself.
He anonymously became a student of the renowned screenwriter Jiang Chi.
But he discovered that although Jiang Chi worked in the industry, she kept to herself and had practically turned into an old-fashioned relic.
So Zhou Shixu put on a secret identity and finally got to be himself in front of Jiang Chi.
Note:
1. Basically, the female lead turns their past into a script, and the male lead also turns their past into a script. Their scripts turn out to be the same, and the male lead's script is stolen by a supporting male character at his company.
2. There's no melodramatic plot where the female lead mistakes the supporting male character for her lover because he has the script. She knows what's going on.
3. Zhou Shixu can be a little dark and twisted sometimes. When he realizes she might mistake the supporting male character for her lover, he arranges to meet her at a hotel and lays everything out.
4. Trust me, this isn't angsty. There's no angst in the whole story.
