A cozy, healing story with a male lead in the background and an ensemble cast
In her fourth year on the job, Jiang Yuqing struggled through her miserable grind of a life.
She thought she would keep living this same dull, miserable life forever, until one day she caught a delivery thief and discovered it was a ragdoll cat.
The ragdoll meowed pitifully in her hands, but Jiang Yuqing refused to let it off the hook.
"Cute act won't save you. You're coming home with me~"
The little cat was very well behaved. It never resisted being petted, never woke Jiang Yuqing by crushing her under its enormous body, and even waited by the door to welcome her home from work.
Jiang Yuqing thought she'd found the best cat in the world.
But what do you mean, you're a cat spirit, and all that was just part of your performance targets?
A cat spirit is a cat spirit. There are already plenty of monsters and demons in life, so what's one more?
But she never expected the cat spirits around her to multiply like tangled yarn.
A tabby cat skilled at crochet, a Persian cat with the third eye, an orange cat who could read minds... Cat spirits with all kinds of supernatural abilities inexplicably began gathering around her, making her life more and more extraordinary.
With her cat-spirit friends backing her, Jiang Chengzi steeled herself and decided to go big.
She handed in her resignation, deleted her boss from WeChat, and used the money she'd saved over the past few years to rent a little shop. Together with her cat-spirit friends, she opened a cat-themed diner called Paws and Plates.
With the superpowered cats' help, the diner quickly became a hit. Jiang Yuqing thought this was the peak of her life.
But one day, the Cat Spirit Bureau came to her with a request: they wanted to use the diner as a cover to set up a Cat Spirit Help Desk and rescue the cat-spirit community, whose members were struggling to survive.
You want an ordinary person to save the world? Sure! Why wouldn't I?
A few days later, a sign reading "Kitty Help Desk" went up on a room hidden in the back of the diner.
With her friends' help, the diner joined forces with cat spirits who had special talents to build an "information network" that covered cat gathering spots across the city, collecting the troubles and problems faced by the kitties.
Cat spirits flocked to the Kitty Help Desk, hoping to find opportunities. The Superpowered Kitty Squad grew larger and larger, and the tasks they received became more and more bizarre.
A lonely kitty who wants to adopt a human? We'll help!
A cat spirit with no job and about to starve? You're hired!
Looking for the love of a past life and hoping to reunite with your destined partner? No problem!
Here, every cat spirit with supernatural abilities can show what they're capable of, and every kitty can get the help they need.
Wait, you want me to deal with the awful human who won't give you dried fish? We're a legal organization, you know!
