One day, a pure-hearted college student found a pitch-black little octopus on the road.
Everyone was amazed that such a disgusting, squirming little thing had appeared in the middle of the street.
He was the only one who didn't mind at all. He took the octopus home and carefully recorded the whole thing on camera, claiming that rescuing a stray animal would earn him extra credit.
Excitedly, he settled the little octopus in a glass fish tank with a goldfish whose eyes bulged out, then contentedly transferred the files from his camera to his computer.
But in every video, the little octopus had become a rapidly expanding black hole, growing larger and larger as it swallowed the whole screen...
In the end, the laptop, which contained important files, crashed right in front of him.
No matter how many times he restarted it or smacked it, nothing worked. Thick black liquid even began seeping out of the vents.
He was devastated.
He yanked the octopus out of the goldfish's belly, slammed it onto the computer, and shouted, "How are you going to make this up to me?!"
The octopus took a while to respond, squelching and wobbling until it changed from a slime-like shape into a goldfish... then, in the blink of an eye, back into a little octopus. It burbled away in a language nobody could understand.
Fortunately, the octopus had absorbed the computer's knowledge and had a rough idea of how to deal with humans. In particular, it found the human's chat logs with other people and learned that tomorrow he planned to skip a very important exam to crash a wedding.
"I can attend your classes for you as compensation."
The college student stared at it blankly for a moment.
Was its disguise really that bad?!
"You also have to take my exam and make up for the credits and computer I lost!"
The little octopus suddenly understood. "That's a piece of cake."
Humans really were simple and foolish creatures. Hmph.
