When strange ghosts invade the cultivation world, the human and demon races join forces to fight them.
Each race has its own strengths in battling the strange ghosts, so they decide to send their respective holy maidens as exchange students to study at an academy in the other race's territory.
Wu Jianhua is the demon race's holy maiden, and the only succubus left in the world.
Spoiled beyond belief, she acts just as arrogantly and imperiously in human territory, bossing everyone around like a little emperor.
All the academy's famous figures, from domineering to gentle to dark and brooding, have been offended by the little emperor Wu Jianhua.
Then the System discovers that Wu Jianhua is the foil-villainess.
Her role is to contrast with the human holy maiden's gentleness and kindness. If she doesn't complete the mission to win over the academy's F4, she'll meet a tragic end.
By this point, however, the girl and the System have already done plenty of damage.
The System opens the affection meter, its heart in ashes. "...Wait, what's with all these affection scores so high they're practically spilling over?"
Among all these sky-high scores, only one is unexpectedly zero:
Yun Xunhe, the undisputed number one on the combat rankings. He possesses unprecedented talent, yet is a silent, emotionless, expressionless man who seems to have neither a mouth nor a heart.
He's the most effective weapon the human race has against the strange ghosts. No matter how dangerous the mission, he only leaves a deadpan "Received" before quietly taking care of it.
Wu Jianhua can't stand him.
Because Yun Xunhe frowns whenever he sees her, refuses to be assigned to a team with her, and immediately moves far away whenever she appears.
Wu Jianhua puffs up angrily. "How can someone be so mean? I'm not winning him over!"
Until one day, Yun Xunhe rescues Wu Jianhua from a horde of strange ghosts.
She clings to him and asks, "Why do you hate me?"
Yun Xunhe: "I don't hate you."
Wu Jianhua: "Then why do you avoid me?"
Yun Xunhe looks at her and answers with calm sincerity: "Because I'm an inferior specimen."
As the mental powers of the human and demon races have evolved, succubus blood has long since stopped inducing desire in others.
But Yun Xunhe is an exception.
From the moment he saw Wu Jianhua, he realized that his mental powers had evolved with a defect, leaving him an inferior specimen unable to suppress a certain desire for her.
