To maintain his carefully crafted image at a school full of privileged brats, Hasuma Rinsei worked three jobs a day. He covered his living expenses and saved up to buy luxury goods, but overworking himself brought his remarkable life to an end.
When he joined the organization, the Time Government promised him mountains of gold and silver, handsome subordinates who'd work like oxen, and a life as one of the privileged. He agreed without hesitation, having dreamed of becoming one of them for ages.
And what did he get?
A Honmaru with nothing to its name, while his handsome subordinates were decked out in gold and silver. Work required traveling across the entire timeline, and if he missed a meeting, he'd get a shock from the Time Government's giant cattle prod.
He was furious! He gently closed the elegant door, hid in his room, and threw cheap ceramic bowls around in a rage. Hakata, waiting outside, thought his master was about to bankrupt the Honmaru. But after a whole day of tantrums, the damage came to just 300 koban.
After spending a few days eating, drinking, and sleeping, Hasuma Rinsei started lurking in the group chat for his fellow Overseers.
Colleague A: My swords made me a fancy meal today. (Image)

Colleague C: I went traveling with my swords to another timeline today. The scenery was so beautiful. (Image)
The swords soon realized their master had cheered himself up. Though he usually spoke in a prissy, affected manner, all it took was a refined, expensive gift for him to shower them with soft-spoken praise and affectionate cuddles.
So what if their Overseer was shallow and greedy? They would give him everything he wanted.
