I'm Lin You, a former corporate drone, now the owner of a haunted house and director of the Underworld's Office of Affairs in the Living World.
My work includes, but isn't limited to:
Investigating a mass murder from five years ago
Stopping the King of Hell from a certain underworld palace from opening a chain of Meng Po's Soup shops in the living world
The employee benefits are so-so:
Base salaries are paid in merit points, which can be withdrawn at designated ATMs.
But the coworkers are incredible: the field operations supervisor is a half-demon wolf, the technical consultant is an officially appointed Black Wuchang, and even the receptionist is a ghostly young lady from the Republican era.
A letter suddenly turned up among my grandmother's keepsakes:
"Youyou, if you ever move into 702, remember that I left your dowry behind the refrigerator."
I pried open the wall behind the fridge. Inside was a Judge's Seal.
And an underworld wanted notice. The target was my mother.
Only the blurb is written in first person. The main story is in third person.
Very little romance, almost none.
The writing may be a little rough. I'm still finding my footing, so please bear with me if anything is amiss.
I sincerely look forward to friendly conversations with everyone.
Whether it's criticism, suggestions, or discussion, as long as it's kindly put, I'll read it carefully, reflect on it, and learn from it.
Every sincere piece of feedback is nourishment that helps me grow.
I'm grateful we met. May we keep moving forward together in the world of stories.
Respectfully,
A new author
