Everyone on the Five Elements Continent knows that the heir to Prince Xi's residence in Jing State, Liuzhou, is a sickly girl. Though she is a princess, her heart meridians are damaged and she is frail and delicate. Even getting into an argument can make her cough up blood.
Her Five Elements spiritual meridians have no particularly outstanding attribute, her cultivation is mediocre, and she has no interest in practicing. Instead, she is infatuated with Shen Wang, an orphan from Yancheng, and has been relentlessly pursuing him for years.
Only Xi Chu knows the truth: she is a world boss who randomly drops rare materials and top-tier equipment when killed. There are four other people as unlucky as her, and they are all doing their best to hide their identities, terrified of making the whole world their enemy.
Party Chat [Five Elements Self-Rescue Squad (5/5)]
Metal: Someone save me! Anyone nearby?!
Metal: Don't say I didn't warn you. This hit might kill me.
As Metal was sent flying more than ten meters by a single blow, Xi Chu, who had been arguing with someone else, immediately spat blood and collapsed. Blood splattered all over her opponent, nearly making the person she'd been arguing with burst into tears.
After repeatedly being forced to share the damage dealt to her teammates, Xi Chu began to reflect: We can't go on like this.
The others: ?
Xi Chu: We shouldn't be the five people being hunted by the whole world. What if we team up and hunt the whole world instead?
The others: ???
They didn't understand, but they joined the raid without hesitation.
Ming Zong is a madman. He is the sharpest blade the Ming family of Yanzhou left behind in the world, but the one who holds this blade's reins is a sickly young girl.
Everyone is counting on this sickly young girl to become a sheath that can restrain Ming Zong. Who could have guessed that her harmlessness over the years was all an act, and that she was the most terrifying madwoman of all?
While everyone is counting on Shen Wang to save the Five Elements Continent single-handedly, Xi Chu orders Ming Zong: "Kill Shen Wang."
Reader's Guide:
1. Some inspiration for the twelve paths comes from Jian Wang 3, and the System also borrows a few settings from Jian Wang 3. You don't need to have played the game to enjoy the story.
2. The worldbuilding is full of my own personal touches. This is my take on immortal cultivation.
3. The female lead is not a perfect character.
