Tanjiro is a very ordinary high school student.

Tanjiro looks at his hand, which has returned to normal. "Muzan, you really are a demon."

Muzan: "Exactly! Stop hesitating! Hurry up and inherit my power! Become the strongest Demon King!"

Tanjiro immediately turns around. "I really should get an exorcism!"

Muzan: "What's wrong with your brain?!"

After realizing he really is possessed by an evil spirit, Tanjiro hurriedly looks for an exorcist. But before he can find a reliable psychic, he runs into another ghost...

Tanjiro has no choice but to join forces with the evil spirit inside him. Every day, he's either exorcising ghosts or on his way to exorcise ghosts, all so he can stubbornly survive in this world full of monsters...
