In the interstellar future set by the Sentinel Guide and ABO, the Wu family welcomes three special children - Wu Xudong, Wu Fan and Xiao Wu Xie. They were born from genetic experiments and bear the complicated past of the "Ten Thousand Stars Source Project". When the eponymous Xiao Wu Xie meets the pregnant guide Wu Xie, the dislocation of identity and generation creates subtle tension. As Wu Laogou tells the secrets of his family and interstellar immigration, the three children are adopted by the second generation of the Wu family respectively, and blend into this legendary family in the smoke and fire of sweet and sour fish. The foreshadowing of data torrent and plane structure quietly lays the causal context across time and space.
