Set at the end of the Star Calendar, it tells the story of fifteen children who were rescued from tantric genetic experiments with different codenames and were scattered and resettled by the mysterious time sculptor Ju Yilong. Meicheng Orphanage accepted five children, including Mai He and Jiang Xinbai, while the rest were sent to ancient or prominent powers such as the Wu family and the Ye family. The story is intertwined with Wu Xie's (Omega's) identity anxiety during pregnancy, Zhang Qiling and other old-era figures' daily observations, and the confusion and temptation of children facing an unknown fate in a new environment. From the dim cabin of the rescue ship to the wet courtyard of Meicheng, from the undercurrent by the West Lake to the choices of ancient families, scattered seeds have been quietly sown. They bear the mark of the experiment and the foggy past. With seemingly calm acceptance, their respective "Great Expectations" are slowly beginning to unfold. On the long scroll of fate, light spots and shadows begin to intertwine silently.
