After Being Blacklisted, I Caught the Eye of a Powerful Investor

Lu Zhi signed a one-year contract with an agency before realizing he had been cheated. Not only was there no work for him, but if he wanted to terminate his contract, he would have to pay an exorbitant penalty.

Worse still, the agency’s top boss had it in for him and made life difficult at every turn.

Just as he was hitting a wall everywhere he turned, his agent brought him to the room of Chu Mingji, a major industry bigwig.

Chu Mingji, the owner of an entertainment company and an investor, offered him a film contract and a ten-million-yuan paycheck.

Lu Zhi had to admit, he was tempted.

When their sugar arrangement was exposed, the internet was flooded with people insulting Lu Zhi.

“He got ahead by pulling strings.”

“He got this far by selling himself.”

Chu Mingji made a decisive move and brought him onto a dating reality show.

The haters were waiting to mock them, but in the clips that aired, the sugar daddy was busy doing everything while the kept man lounged on the sofa, playing games and snacking.

“Haters, come out. You call this being kept?”

“Whose sugar daddy is the one serving the person he keeps?!”

“Lu Zhi even dares to lose his temper with his sugar daddy!”

“The sugar daddy says nothing, and just keeps spoiling his wife.”

A short scene:

At first, Lu Zhi was pretty intimidated by Chu Mingji and acted cautiously around his sugar daddy.

Later, Lu Zhi lay in bed and shouted imperiously, “Chu Mingji, get me a glass of water!”

Chu Mingji, a capital mogul by common consent, shut his laptop, put down his work, and went to fetch Lu Zhi some water with a helpless expression that was really full of affection.

* Lu Zhi is the gong.

* The blurb is still being polished.
