At the opening ceremony, Jiang Chi took the stage as the outstanding freshman representative.
As if he deserved it.
"You know him?" a classmate beside her asked curiously.
"I do. He's got a bad temper, a sharp tongue, and nothing going for him but his face."
Xiang Qing answered calmly.
Later, after the graduation party, they walked together around the sports field.
Jiang Chi pulled something out of his pocket.
It was the graduation photo taken that afternoon, turned face down. He handed it to her.
Xiang Qing took it and turned it over.
On the back, next to the "Happy Graduation!!!" she had hastily scribbled that afternoon,
there was another line.
The handwriting was sharp and neat. It was Jiang Chi's.
"From the age of seven to eighteen, you were always in my frame."
"And you will be from now on, too."
Xiang Qing's fingers froze.
"I know every side of you. The good, the bad, the happy, the unhappy."
"And I want to keep being part of every one of them."
The wind carried his words to her.
Xiang Qing's tears fell, splashing onto the photo and blurring into tiny water stains.
She looked up at him.
"Jiang Chi, do you know how annoying you can be sometimes?"
"I know."
"Especially that mouth of yours."
"Yeah, I know."
"Even though you annoy me, I still like you."
You were already part of my future.
That's nice. After all, sunny days are always here.
And so is he.
