Synopsis
2025.12.11 This is just a place to keep an idea. I'm not sure when I'll start writing it.
I want to try writing with a proper structure and organization!
Lily and James survive; the worldbuilding contains spoilers. Fighting Voldemort is not the main plot.
In first grade, the teacher asked the class what they wanted most.
Elizabeth Lin answered loudly, "World peace!"
The whole class burst out laughing.
When she grew up, many people tearfully begged Elizabeth to tell them what she wanted.
Elizabeth looked puzzled. "World peace. Didn't you know?"
The potions smuggler pinned beneath her foot groaned, "I know! I know! Please let me go!"
In the 1990s, Elizabeth's name became a symbol in the international wizarding world. With an iron fist and overwhelming ability, she worked on the front lines to stop the rampant smuggling of potions. Her actions even indirectly dealt a heavy blow to the Dark Lord's resurgence.
But if you met her in person, you would never believe that such a kind, gentle witch had relentlessly driven so many bills through to proposal and enactment.
Many people didn't believe it, but this half-blood witch from the slums had always held to one simple belief:
She wanted world peace.

"Why do I hate you?"
Severus Snape said expressionlessly, "You barged into my bedroom uninvited, rummaged through my stores of potion ingredients, stole my personal belongings, and now you're violating my freedom of movement. And if I remember correctly, you only graduated from my class last year. I happen to have the right to revoke your graduation for a year, Miss Lin."
"Sorry, Professor." She deliberately stressed the title. "But I happen to remember that you've worked at Hogwarts for less than three years, so you aren't qualified to decide a student's graduation status on your own. Besides, you're currently suspected of being involved in an international potion-smuggling case."
Snape said maliciously, "I assure you, I'm in my right mind and have no motive to commit a crime. Someone who only earned an A in Potions has no business telling your professor what to do."
"Luckily, I got an O in Charms and Defense Against the Dark Arts," Elizabeth said. "And fighting crime has very little to do with one's skill at Potions."
Later, he had to admit that his prejudice had indeed affected her Potions grade. She, too, had to admit that fighting crime had a great deal to do with one's skill at Potions. In the end, they became excellent partners.

"Why do I like you?"
Sirius Black licked his lips and said, "You saved my life and my mate's, got me out of Azkaban and found me a job, let me live with my godson and be there as he grew up, and restored my reputation and inheritance."
Elizabeth smiled. "You're welcome. So could you take that diamond ring back? I'm not interested."
"Please, Lin, don't reject my proposal," Sirius said pitifully, putting an arm around her shoulders. "Harry needs a godmother, and Padfoot needs an owner!"
"And you need a marriage substantial enough to make the news media stop pestering you about settling down. I refuse to play along. This result should keep them quiet for a while, shouldn't it?" Elizabeth affectionately brushed him away and walked off without looking back.
The next day's Daily Prophet headline: Black's Proposal Rejected, Elizabeth Shows No Mercy in Her Cases.

"Why am I afraid of you?"
Remus Lupin said in surprise, "No, I'm not afraid of you, Liz. Though you're a few years younger than us, you've always been a determined and clever junior. Now you're working at the Ministry of Magic to help disadvantaged people like me. I'm sure your career will go from strength to strength."
Elizabeth said nothing. After a while, Remus hesitated. "Have I been avoiding you all? ... Is it that obvious?"
Before he could explain, Elizabeth said firmly, "No more apologies, Remus. Pack your things. We're leaving tomorrow. And don't refuse. Dumbledore asked me to take you on a little trip to clear your head."
Elizabeth forcibly dragged away her werewolf friend, who had fallen into depression and was avoiding everyone. Six months later, she brought back a werewolf friend with a more optimistic outlook on life.

"Why am I worried about you?"
Lily Evans frowned. "You're always rushing around, and the places you go every day are dangerous. Harry is always thinking about you, too. He doesn't even want to start primary school. Get some rest, okay, Liz?"
Elizabeth looked Lily in the eye and gave her a big hug. Surrounded by a rich, comforting fragrance, Elizabeth said with relief, "Seeing you happy makes me happy too, Lily."
"Sometimes I worry Voldemort isn't dead, and that he'll come back," Lily finally said as she said goodbye to Elizabeth. Her emerald-green eyes met Elizabeth's.
Elizabeth pretended to sigh. "Then we'd better start preparing now. World peace is a huge undertaking."
"Of course. We can start by inviting my sister's family over for Christmas this year," Lily said slyly.
This is a story set between the Marauders' era and the next generation.
This is a story about dragging the Harry Potter cast into the wizarding world's anti-drug efforts and helping them achieve good mental health.
This is a story about an ordinary, relentlessly optimistic person making a small contribution to world peace through her own hard work.
