On September 23 of Year 73 of the New Calendar, Ivar, Chief Administrator of the Builders' Camp, was convicted of several offenses, including wasting camp resources and murder. He was sentenced to death, to be carried out immediately.
The day after the execution, several people close to Ivar were forcibly pulled into an unknown, pure-white space. Seated around a round table, they were told that the only way to escape was to...
...watch Ivar's life.

As scenes from his memories unfolded, the people around the table gradually went from indifference to agitation.
"Your illness had gotten this bad. Why didn't I know anything about it?"
"Why? Why could you have stopped that article accusing you from being published, but..."
"Ha! You'd planned this all along! Then what about me? What was I to you?"
Confusion, anger, heartache... All kinds of emotions filled the space. Yet at the center of all their gazes, Ivar remained calm, as if none of it had anything to do with him.
He simply sat there in silence, like a bystander, watching his life replay frame by frame.
His expression was exactly the same as when he listened to the verdict in court, and when he stared down the gun barrel at the execution ground.

Reader's guide and content notes:
1. I haven't even written an outline yet, so I don't know what to put in a reader's guide.
2. I'm a sucker for a tragic, powerful character everyone hates, followed by everyone regretting it after their death. That's just what I want to read (?)
