Setting: More than 200 years after a great catastrophe, magic flourishes in a rebuilt world. All kinds of adventuring guilds have sprung up, serving the people of their own country and other lands by finding things, clearing out threats, and so on, for a fee... If war breaks out, guilds must fight alongside the army of the country they belong to. Guilds recruit mages, swordsmen, and other professions. The best guilds require applicants to pass a trial before joining. To join a guild, one must pass the intermediate mage qualification exam. Vita Angia has just graduated from some obscure magic academy. Unable to qualify as an intermediate mage due to her lack of ability, she has been turned away by every guild.
