Fish-Slaying Auntie, Number One in the Wasteland Game

Li Sui Rong has been filleting fish at this market since she was twenty. This year marks exactly twenty years.

Everyone at the market knows she has a bad temper, is cold to others, and cares only about profit.

But her fish-filleting skills are so exquisite that she can use eighty-eight different knife techniques on a single fish, so customers keep coming in an endless stream.

Li Sui Rong has little to do for entertainment in her spare time. One day, she downloaded a game called [Wasteland Survival].

It didn't take long for her to clear the first chapter, and she even reached number one on the server leaderboard.

"Too easy. Boring."

So she uninstalled it.

That day, she was filleting fish for a customer as usual when she saw the severed half of the dead fish in her hand sprout a pair of legs, and scales grow on the customer in front of her.

When she looked up, the entire market was surrounded by the bizarre.

Li Sui Rong realized that these monsters were exactly like the ones in the game she'd played a few days earlier!

Ever since the game invaded, players have been forming groups to fight monsters, stockpiling supplies to build safe houses, and doing everything they can to survive in this wasteland game.

Li Sui Rong had originally planned to team up and fight monsters to level up, but the other players all thought she was too old.

With no other choice, she had to kill her way from Lv. 0 to Lv. 99 alone.

When players around the world saw the number one spot on the leaderboard, they all asked what kind of big shot had claimed it.

Li Sui Rong deftly sliced fresh sashimi to feed a kitten and said calmly, "Can't you tell? I'm just a fishmonger."

When faced with the S-rank aberrant creature [Strange Kun], everyone was at a loss.

Li Sui Rong drew the fish knife she'd carried for decades and beat the aberrant creature until it was bloody and battered.

"What's the problem? A big fish is still a fish."

The first half of Li Sui Rong's life had been far from happy, all because of other people's wrongdoing. Given the circumstances, she had no way to fight back.

The game's invasion was dangerous, but it was also a new chance to change her fate.

Here, she found the enemy who had taken her college entrance exam in her name, brought back the cat that had been stolen from her, and became the person she'd wanted to be as a girl.

Li Sui Rong climbed to the mountaintop, her gaze sweeping over the city ruins destroyed by aberrant creatures.

"My life is only just beginning."

Check out my upcoming novel, Can’t a 35-Year-Old Be the Hero of a Shonen Manga?

After being laid off at thirty-five, small-town exam ace Xi Chuan transmigrates into a cannon-fodder passerby in a discontinued, hot-blooded shonen manga, facing an early exit from the start.

Xi Chuan: Don't people usually transmigrate into the protagonist?

System: Have you ever seen a thirty-five-year-old shonen manga protagonist? Getting two panels as a passerby is already a favor pulled through connections.

Xi Chuan refuses to accept it. Why is everything capped at thirty-five?

No matter. Xi Chuan followed the series from the beginning and knows the plot inside out.

If she can't join the protagonist's team, then she'll be the villain!

Xi Chuan pours all thirty-five years of resentment into the game: blow up the company! Steal the protagonist's luck! Destroy the world!

When the protagonist tries to win her over with talk of friendship, truth, and beauty, she fires back with a single blow. "I could've gained two more levels in the time it takes to listen to you go on."

When she encounters the monster ranked number one on the bounty board, Xi Chuan casually takes down the notice.

Xi Chuan: You say you're S-rank? Then you're dead tonight!

From then on, Xi Chuan keeps leveling up and grinding for experience, eventually becoming an SSS-rank villainous Overlord!

But Xi Chuan realizes that something seems a little off.

How did she end up at the top of the forum popularity rankings?

Why are all the big shots begging to join her villain faction?

What?! The manga has been renamed The Legend of Xi Chuan?!

Theme: A woman remains a girl at heart until the day she dies
