Chen the Constable, known as Uncle Chen in Qing Shui County, has had a run of bad luck lately. His superior can't stand him and has ordered him to catch the flower thief who has been terrorizing the countryside.
Chen Yingping spent days lying in wait, but never caught the thief. Instead, his brother-in-law died, his sister went to prison, and before long the county magistrate was going to throw him in jail too.
Then the flower thief he had caught poked his head out from the roof beam: "Well, well. Want me to help you?"
