At first, Lorenzo, the progenitor of the vampires, only wanted to sleep in. But he accidentally slept a little too long, outlasting both the vampire hunters and his own kind.
He climbed out of bed ravenous and went looking for food, only to discover that the world had been overrun by an alien species. His breakfast, lunch, and dinner were facing an extinction-level crisis.
He rescued a survivor and took the opportunity to enjoy a filling meal. When the survivor woke up, Lorenzo learned about the existence of a shelter.
He heard the shelter was full of all-natural, unpolluted humans.
Lorenzo: Why call it a shelter? It's obviously a buffet.
But after entering the shelter, Lorenzo discovered that everyone was under close surveillance and forbidden from making private contact. There was no chance to hunt at all.
To fill his stomach, he had no choice but to remain in the field operations division and take advantage of the chaos whenever he went out.
Breathe in the air in a contaminated zone and die?
No idea. He doesn't need to breathe.
The aliens have tough outer shells that can only be broken with special weapons?
No idea. Seems like one punch does the trick.
But...
"Oh, I didn't eat breakfast, so I'm a little dizzy. You guys go on ahead. I'll take a nap."
Destroying the aliens isn't the point. Getting a good meal is.
Lorenzo spent most of his time goofing off behind the team. He only stepped in to turn things around when his teammates were no longer able to fight, then took advantage of their unconsciousness to enjoy a lovely meal.
Still, he wasn't satisfied. His lifelong dream was to eat whenever and wherever he wanted.
Now there was a promising candidate: naive and easy to fool, with a suitable constitution and excellent flavor.
So he submitted an application to share a dorm room with this emergency ration.
The application was approved much faster than Lorenzo expected, but the room's decor was completely beyond his imagination.
Didn't they say soil and fertilizer were scarce, so growing flowers was forbidden?
Then what were all these rose petals on the floor?
And why was it a room with a king-sized bed?
Was that a candlelit dinner on the table?
"You were the one who flirted with me first," someone said, accusing him before he could get a word in. "I used up all my points to get expedited approval and these decorations."
"When did I flirt with you?"
"You wrote on the application that you thought I looked delicious."
"Oh, that... I meant it literally."
"?"
*Lazy, classical-aristocrat-style, smiling fox seme x cold-faced but guileless, easily fooled puppy uke
*An invincible seme who loves his comforts and slacking off, and only acts when necessary. When he does, he gives the aliens a taste of the shock an ancient native species can deliver.
*A stray-dog-flavored uke, covered in old and new scars, with unknown intelligence and powerful healing abilities. Keeps strangers at a distance, and bites anyone who touches him.
