Before turning twelve, Pei Yi receives a strange bullet left to him by his parents.

This bullet is the last hope of the people on a planet in a parallel universe.

Because of this bullet, he and Bai Ruixing transmigrate to another world, where they face the apocalypse, biological mutations, and people hunting them down, coming close to death again and again.

The hope of humanity in this other world rests on his shoulders. His own wish is simple: he just wants to return to Earth safely with Bai Ruixing.

At last, he delivers the bullet of hope to a research institute.

But they personally crush his hopes.

2.

Five-year-old Bai Ruixing is the darling of his family, spoiled by everyone except one person: his "older brother," Pei Yi.

Bai Ruixing knows Pei Yi isn't his real brother. Pei Yi looks down on him and scolds him not to touch his models, and sternly tells him to stop crying and making a fuss.

He doesn't like his brother.

But he likes even less the people who say his brother will leave the Bai family sooner or later!

Bai Ruixing puffs out his cheeks and raises his eyebrows. "He's my brother! My home is his home too. Where does he think he's going?"

If he dares run away, I'll smack his butt!

But in the blink of an eye, he and Pei Yi transmigrate to the apocalypse.

Together they face strange people hunting them, packs of wolves surrounding them, and waves of zombies.

They survive extreme heat and bitter cold, earthquakes, tornadoes...

They depend on each other, huddling together for warmth in the apocalypse of this other world.

They become the most important people in each other's lives.

But Bai Ruixing is still afraid.

His brother's birth parents are right here. If he finds them, will he never go home with Bai Ruixing again?

The more Bai Ruixing thinks about it, the angrier he gets. He clenches his soft, chubby little fists and thinks: I still have to smack my brother's butt.

Pei Yi watches the child go from grinning one second to wearing a blank expression the next.

Pei Yi: ? Why does my back feel cold?

Pei Yi grabs the child's chubby cheeks and jiggles them. "What bad things are you muttering about me now?"

Bai Ruixing clings to him and coos, asking him to sing him to sleep.

Pei Yi raises an eyebrow. "Didn't you say my singing was awful?"

Bai Ruixing: "It's awful, but I like it."

Reading Guide:

1. Bai Ruixing is the bottom, and Pei Yi is the top. They are not blood-related. The early chapters follow the plot, while the later chapters mainly follow the bottom after he grows up.

2. Both are virgins, happy ending.

3. As children, they share a bond deeper than family, relying on each other for survival. Their romantic relationship only develops once they are adults.
