Everyone Says the Modern World Is Built on Teyvat!

After the great war, the world escaped fate's absolute control and became relatively free.

The conflicts within had been temporarily resolved, but threats from beyond still watched hungrily. The Seven Gods exhausted their strength and could do no more than barely delay the coming calamity.

After the war, everything in the mortal realm was left in ruins. With their last strength, the Seven Gods healed the world's wounds, then made a pact with the mortal realm:

[The gods shall no longer directly interfere in the mortal realm. Everything concerning the gods will be buried beneath the layers of rock.

When the final moment arrives, the sleeping one will awaken and fulfill the final mission.]

Time passed, and civilization once again arose in the mortal realm. No one knew of this distant history.

But fate had not vanished completely. It continued to flow forward like water.

One day, it would finally pour into a dark and fathomless sea.

"If there really are gods in this world," Sanemi Shinazugawa snarled at the person before him, "then why do demons exist? Do you know how many people have died because of them?!"

Heizou Shikanoin sighed. "I'm sorry, but according to our pact, we won't interfere in the mortal realm unless absolutely necessary."

"We have more important things to do, too."
